On returning to Dubai in 2005 I started my own business in Sharjah in the line of Heavy Equipment Spare Parts. This business was started without any prior knowledge of the industry except my father who worked as a Finance Manager for large Heavy Equipment Company. Most of my business education was derived from trial and error. Although it turned out to be an expensive exercise, it was definitely worthwhile.

Working as a Sr. Web Applicaiton Developer in a UK Based company in dubai since 2 years now. I've been involved in development of web application's, websites & portals since aboout 5 years now. I expertise in development of applications on Web 2.0 interface with Javascript and AJAX / XML interaction giving the user a dynamic experiace of surfing the web.

Web development has come a long way. The mind set of the people has changed and allowed the development of complete application packages on a web based system. Today people prefer their data to be online and accessible from any location rather than having it on a local database. Database driven applications represent appox 70% of the total applications running online. The only question here is security ! how secureis my data online. Here is where a good developer comes in. Simple scripting and writing a few line of SQL code does not amke a secure application. Today object oriented programming is included in web based languages to allow the developer to enhance the way a application runs.
